“There’s nothing, absolutely nothing, that can take the place of experience… I’m not putting out this information to entertain, but to inform.” Leroy Colbert
The value of strength training experience is almost priceless. “Everyone has their views concerning what beneficial strength training exercises to do and what supplements to take…” That’s a popular statement I often hear when talking with people in gyms. Nothing wrong with having views, just make sure that those views are backed by sound science and practical experience.
We often hear many different opinions when training in the gym. After all, almost everyone is an ‘expert’, right? Wrong! Always verify the information that you’re getting, whether it’s in the gym, about supplementation, even about current events. I’ve heard many people in gyms over the years give inaccurate information even though they had years of training experience.
There’s a reason I always state that my advice is based on practical experience and science. We may read information, but if that information isn’t put into practice then we really don’t have a full comprehension of what was read.
In my post, ‘commencing my weight training odyssey‘, I stated my passion for this lifestyle as one reason for wanting to impart what I’ve learned, and continue to learn and experience, to others.
My advice is based on twenty plus years of weight training and dietary supplementation experience and science, but don’t take my word for it.
I have posts about dietary supplementation, preventing and reversing type 2 diabetes, slowing down aging with strength training, contemplating using anabolic steroids, and more. I welcome my readers to verify that what I have listed in my blog is in line with sound science.
I’ve benefited from two decades of strength training with proper dietary supplementation. This lifestyle has afforded me very good health. Once again my friends, I urge you all to always research the facts and make sure that any advice given about weight training and dietary supplementation, by me or others, is accurate.
The value of strength training experience is almost priceless.
