The Value of Experience in My Personal Fitness Journey

August 3, 2022 by Reuel Payne

Combining real-world strength training experience with scientific research is incredibly valuable. You often hear people at the gym sharing their thoughts on the best exercises and supplements. Having an opinion is fine, but it’s important that these opinions are based on both scientific facts and practical experience. This way, you can make informed decisions that actually work.

When you’re at the gym, you’ll hear lots of different opinions. It might seem like everyone thinks they’re an expert. However, that’s not always true. It’s really important to check if the information you’re getting is accurate, whether it’s about working out, taking supplements, or even news. Over time, I’ve noticed that even people with a lot of gym experience sometimes share incorrect information.

That’s why I always emphasize that my advice is rooted in both practical experience and scientific facts. Reading information is one thing, however sometimes without applying it, we can’t fully comprehend what we have learned. In my ‘about me‘ post, I expressed my passion for this lifestyle and my desire to share the knowledge and experiences I continue to gain.

My advice stems from over two decades of experience in weight training and dietary supplementation, backed by scientific research. But don’t just take my word for it. My blog features posts on a variety of topics, including dietary supplementation, prevention and reversal of type 2 diabetes, the role of strength training in slowing down aging, considerations for using anabolic steroids, and more.

I believe it’s crucial to verify information through real-life experiences and studies. This approach helps ensure that the advice given is reliable and effective. By combining practical experience with scientific evidence, I aim to provide guidance that is both trustworthy and actionable. Additionally, I’m committed to keeping my content updated with the latest research, so you can stay informed about the best practices in fitness and health.

I encourage you to validate my advice against trusted scientific evidence. After almost three decades of practice, I can attest that strength training, when paired with proper supplementation, has been key to sustaining my health.

I want to remind everyone to always do their own research and make sure that any advice you get about working out or taking supplements, whether it’s from me or someone else, is accurate. This way, you can make informed decisions that are right for you.

“There’s nothing, absolutely nothing that can take the place of experience. I’m not putting out this information to entertain, but to inform.” – Leroy Colbert
